Correct.
The exact ways for this to be mounted and the corresponding cables are shown in the Garage-Manual (Link for the german Manual in my signature: "Servicehandbuch"
(I think the manual should be translatable as I ran it through an OCR-Software. Results may vary though...)

The left one is the switch that should close the motor-relais (which should result in a quite audible "clack" near the curtis).
The one on the right should trigger the brake-lights.

Thanks for the manual! Mine was a scanned version without selectable text. At least with this one I can put parts in a translator.

I will let you guys know if it was the microswitch, gas pot or both.

Hello everyone,

I just want you guys to know that the problem is solved and it was indeed the microswitch.
Now to replace the gaspoti i lost 10km in speed with the broken cables that i re-attached with pure solder and no copper touching each other.

A speeder pot at the maximum power position should read approx. 5000 Ohms (5 kOhms). In the idle position it should read close to 0 Ohms. All this is only valid if it is disconnected from the Curtis.
Some ELs have a speed limiter according to the regulations for small and larger vehicles depending on the country.

Try cleaning the pot first with alcohol and an eartip as these are quite expensive.

I suggest to be cautious, but there are no hidden springs in it or a puzzle impossible to solve. If in doubt take some photos while opening it. Use a mild alcohol or WD40 to clean it and then grease it with very little industrial vaseline (no cosmetic additives) to run smooth.
Do not scratch the trace with the slider, this is the variable resistor.
