ok.. here is the gem !

maybe you electric guy know of these car? is in southern Sweden 700 km from me :)
the car "says the owner " is in good condtion" but the battery are shot.. he told me that happen
during the winter when it was very cold..
my idea for the car is very simple
i live 3 km from the village center and use to go there at least once a day for sending parcell to my customers " i made messerschmitt and Vespa/Lambretta parts"
so i really dont need that long range.. so i was thinking for now to put some ordinar leisure batteries
around 90 amp. i can found those from around 110 € each

can you see by the look of the car what model it is ? seems to have the newr battery configurations
maybe u have the stronger /faster motor?

i know these is a newbie question.. but is t a quick easy way to tune it so i can do at least 60 or maybe 70 km/h?

thanks for the help and Tschuss !

Hi again,

each car has a number. When you open the EL you find the number at the under part near the front on the right.

I think the batterys are lead-Gel with 90 or 100 Ah. Please don´t use ordinary batterys which used for starting a car for the City el. They will work for a very short time!!!!! This is only an Option for testing, if the CityEL really works.

If you use Lead-Gel (Zyklenfest!, I don´t now the english word) for one battery you have to pay about 180 €. Better Options are LiPo or NiCD

then u should be in the US !
look for example here:
http://www.harborfreight.com/

like biltema.. but even cheaper !!
for the batteri what about these one? "found on Biltema"
http://biltema.se/sv/Bil---MC/Bilreservdelar/Elsystem/Batteri/AGM-batteri-80700/

or these one "should last 450-500 cycles"
http://biltema.se/sv/Bil---MC/El/Batteri-ovriga/Underhallsfritt-batteri-80100/

but to be honest.. its better to buy the proper one.. i think

Hi guys!
finally im back home with the car..
it looks greeat!
i promise to put pics of it tomorrow "after i wash and wax her :)"
the guy i bought the car from seems to not know so much abouth it.

can you please help me out with a few question..?

i found a 220 volt contact under my seat. is the charger fitted there?
the car have not a license plate and the owner say it goes around 30 km/h top speed
as i understand the car is registered as moped.
is it a easy way to make i go faster ? like the car registered CityEl that makes up to 60 ?

thanks for the help
Robert

Hello Robert.

most CIty El´s in sweden is registred as moped.if you contact some of the other swedish cityel owners in sweden, they can tell you how to register as a car.I heard that the scandivavian importer here in DK,had to first register it here in DK,and then they could register it in sweden.dont know why.
If you take a picture of the things under your seat,I can help you getting it to drive faster.probably you have to remove a wire on the "strombegrenzer-pcb,as they could make it to not go faster than 30km/h.this is also used in Germany, when they here is also as a moped.

ok
here we go. the pics are 1 hour old
the car is a 1992 "S model ?"
it looks to be all there. nothing burn or cut or alter
i cant find any info of the motor so i just send you pics of it
the transmission is by doubble chain
as i wrote before i think the car was register as "moped" so it should make only 30 km/h
but i think " and hope that is easy to make it go faster..
there are a few question under some of the pics.
thanks for the help you all!!

i got a tip that i should take out the coals and make sure the fit properly before i start the car..
where can i find them?

it seem that 1 of the 3 batteries is i good condition
so for just testing it ill put 2 70 amps car start batteris
maybe i can see if the charger workds too?"

the oics above is the charger i suspect..
is it a way to see if its ok or broken?

btw.. how do you tall guys fix the sitting space ??
i was thinking to throw away the back padding and put a smaller one just at the end.
and put some padding around the round tube that goes across

if its ok.. i just have to plug in 3 batteries and then the cord to 220 v..yes ?

is it possible to adjust the pedal more forward?
im 180 long and they are little to narrow

sorry
forgot to upload the pic of the engine, here it is.

another question..
2 of the batteries are gone " the charger blinks so its something bad inside the batteries"
so i was thinking to connect the one good to 2 regular car batteries
but the only cable that are loose in the batteri bay are 2 black..!
how do i connect them?
