El in deep snow?

Hi jnd,
our fellows in switzerland that are used in driving through ten meters of snow, visiting alm oehi even in snow storm and things like that, you know, aehem, i mean, they know what snow is like.
These buddys and those of use that are trained in snow driving gave us a great tip:
just put some cable ties onto the backward tires, just linke snow chain for single use. They will not last for ever, but long enough to find your way home. I did never use this by myself, but i have always some fixers in my el. I will try to shot a picture or two and put in in here..
I do not think spikes are workable. And never heared of chains for the el.

there are winter tires named "Heidenau".

I had not tested it, but many people said, they are good on snow and ice.
But of course the range is reducing...
Oh, and if the snow is very deep, then take off the wheels - the cityel is a snow carriage itself ...

New idea!
What about to lock right wheel just for 20-50 meters. I just need to reach main road.
My idea is 2 back wheels to run together only this 20-50 meters.
I try it and i can tell that EL run very well.
I use 2 screws to right wheel one wrench and piece of rope.
My way is not bad( i mean it don`t damage El in any way) but i want to hear and your ideas how to make back two weels to run together.

The device is nearly the same as the "standard" device,but with different material.
The experience are very different.
It is difficult to use the stainless steel plate ,so you have the right torque
Some user have already damaged the new material.
My option is,if you want a little bit torque or full torque to the left wheel, it is a solution.
If you want a high torque (but not full) than wolfang have to do some more research....

Lets specify first left/right. I mean we stay in back of the car and free wheel is right wheel, and left wheel is full torque(it is not free at all).
So i think you talk here :

I think that you mean this, if you are in front of the car.
However it don`t matter.
I just don`t want to have free wheel in a snow weather.
So i see one litle bit thicker disk that replace old one on the picture.
Is that all?
What about friction? Did friction between disk and wheel damage in any way wheel surface?
Did we must use some greace between 2 sufaces?

If your old spring disk is in good shape,maybe this is not idea.
