Hello Kewet freinds!
I have just aquired a Kewet 1992, chassis no. 199. It is rather original, registered and running. But many things is needed to bring it up again to original shape. Most important right now is a new set of batteries. It is original 48V and lead akkus. After studying the excellent webside kewet.de and read about what other people has done, I am sure that I wish to rebuild to Lifepo4 akkus and higher voltage. But I will like more time to prepare this conversion and therefore are looking at buying some led akkus to keep the car running while I plan the conversion.
So, my question is- have any of you any practical experience with Varta LFD230? - they are sometimes called semi-traction and sometime deepcycle and sometinmes dual-use if you search around. But it is the cheapest solution I can find for 12v 230AH (like the ones in the car now) and if they can last some years with moderate use, it is good for me. What do you think?
Please just reply in German - it is not a problem for me to understand, but difficult for me to write it
