Hi All
my name is Robert and i live in Sweden
first of all.. sorry if i cant write in German..

im looking for owners of miniEl/cityEl cars
i have just bought one that needs work and im going to take it on a very small trailer
ill like to know how the car looks under. is it only plast or is it a steel chassie?
the trailer im going to use is only 100 * 100 cm small so i was thinkin to put it on
and then fasten with straps..

if someone could send me some photo how the car looks underneath it will help me a lot

thanks for the answers and help

The litle trailer should work if you avoid standing the EL on sharp edges or something like that. Take ouz the batteries to make it light. Just in front of the rear wheels is the mounting point for the suspension. This is the right place i.g. for a car lift and will be suitable for transportation purposes as well. The other point to lift the car is behind the front wheel. Make sure that the area that carrys the load is big enough because it is only plastic there. Of course a trailer of 1x2m would make it more easy but it will work this way too.

Hi,

my english ist not so good but i try to give you a first short answer: Most of the cityEL-Chassie is plast, only the place for the batteries ist from often rusty steel. I haven´t any pictures yet but may you will join this link http://www.ralfwagner.de/mini.htm
There you can get much information and the site is also in english.
You want the trailer for transport? Sounds very small. And if you use straps, don´t put it over the roof. Only around the lower part of the cityEL.

Have much fun with the cityEL

Great ! thanks for the pics / video and the other info. now i get a much better idea how to take it home
there are 2 different way
the first with my trailer , as you can see on the pics when i took home a old Lambretta .
the trailer is open. but now when i saw the underneath of the CityEl i thing it best to put a sheet of plywood and on top of that a old matress " like the guy on the video :) "
so the car rests on something soft " wow she like a human :)"

or .. there is another "popular in US" solution..
just made a bracket for the rear hitch and have the car towed on its own wheels behing my car..
ok I shouldnt drive more then 30-40 km/h but in sweden is very little cops during summer :)
the car itself should work with these solution too

btw can someone please tell the distance from the start/front of the rear whel to the very end of the car?
best solution would be to have that part haning behind the trailer .. but it must go free when i turn the car,,

again thanks so much for all the help..
i have some many other questions.. so ill put a new topic..
