hybrid CityEl ? "put a trailer behind with generator?"

Hi all!
was thinking of getting 2 pigeon with one shot ..
basically i live one on the country side in Sweden..lots of woods,, cold winter etc..
so every year we have no power at least for 1 day due to storms etc ..
i was thinking to buy a generator so i can watch tv. computer etc..
but now since im going to buy new batteries for the CityEl ..
got an idea is to make a small trailer " i have already a frame" and put the generator on it !

so my question is very simple. if i want to buy a generator that can charge the batteries "on the go"
when i have it behind the car. how big generator do i need?
i can buy a 2 KW for aorunf 200 € here in Sweden..
will it be enough?

oh no, not again! We had this some weeks ago. Dont. Please, just dont.

It is nonsense exapt for range extending in areas with no other posibility to get new energy. You will have to carry two extra wheels, the generator, a powerfull charger and some more. That leads to a motorcurrent of about 200A to have at least a litle fun. This means, that we talk about 7..8 kW peak and 5kW continuos. 20kg for the chargers 30 or more forethe generator plus the trailer and something to make it weatherproof will be more than 100 kg extra load. But how about a different idea? Spend a litle more for realy good batteries and get a DC/AC converter for the blackouts.

glb. tried this several months ago and I think he had to spend as much gas as with a small normal car.

In fact it was even more than with a small mopedcar.

im aware its not a smart solution..
it was more to make the new generator easy to move around
if i then can tow it behind a car .. even better

Choose the converter solution. The ELs Bats will last for days and your car can feed the converter as well.
