Hallo CityEL Freunde.

Ich freue mich über meinen CityEl bis 48V zu aktualisieren, und es fehlt nur curtis-Controller.

Wie viel sollte in der Steuerung geändert werden?

Kondensatoren sind 1000uf/63V.

Hello Henrik,

would english be ok?
AFAIK the FETs need or better can be replaced witch IRF540.
The Capacities can remain, as long as the chargevoltage does not overrun the 63V (eg. 48V LI = 58V Charge = OK)

The controller itself -not the powerpart; might need some tuning.
He modifies those Controler for many years.

hope it helps

嘿卡斯滕,
我們也可以嘗試在時代的傳統詞彙,對不對?
德語,德語論壇... ...不是嗎?
... ...和Henrik已經這麼難寫,德語。

I am shure, that is a problem! What about the supressor-diodes?

IRF540

In former times there was place enough for cheap transistors, maybe, 36 ones parallel.
Then it will be no problem.

It is a secret of Gero, which types he is using.

I have a 1209 Curtis. It has around 24 IRF540 onboard and makes around 275A at max. 60V (48V Version).

There are N and -I guess; RN Versions of the 540, which have a much lower RDon.
But the 540 have only been as examble. It is a MUST to replace all of the FETs with the same type and better a selected series -little more expensive, than the bulk from somer dealers.

Bernd has said and is right about the diodes. I am not sure -must have a look; which ones are build in, but wait....
have a look in here:

Well, all in german, but may be You can get more from the drawings and pictures.

hope it helps

I have now, taken the curtis apart. and have found out that Curtis uses a OEM mosfet from International Rectifier, and International Rectifier wont give up any infomation about the fets.

I dont think it will be necessary to change the diodes, because i dont want more power, i just want to have a controller that can handle 48V :)

Hi

I dont think that the Transistors are a Problem, I use a 48V Curtis up to 85 V with the same Transistors, the Problem is the max. Cut off Voltage, i dont know how to change this, the Curtis i use was modified by Gero.

Best Regards

if you open this pdf document, it says how to change the cut of voltage fra 50V to 58V
