Hallo zusammen !

habe mir ein franz. E-Berlingo ohne NiCd Akkus gekauft.

Schau mal hier:

Hi Klaus!
Very succesfull has been 60 batteries and miniBMS here in Finland. It rises voltage so that the nature of the car changes dramatically, just what Berlingo needs. I have put 3 extra NiCd:s and driving happy with the car. Also, because of the higher voltage/lower current, there comes more Ah:s from the batteries. Basicly the charger limits amount of the batteries. Berlingos top limit is 250V so 60pcs is really ok. But the money many times put the limit... 180Ah:s Calb is maybe best solution, 160Ah TS is cheaper. With these you can drive almost 300km in the saving mode and about 220-250km normal way. Every cases you have almost 200km usable driving out of charging. Someone have even 100Ah:s batteries but I think that 50A continue current must be consider in the calculation.
Remember, isolate the boxes if you want drive near 0C. Do not do same mistake that new electric car manufacturers. Check out Dextras test.

Regards

@Denis

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Lexia3-Citroen-Peugeot-PP2000-Diagnosegerat-30pin-Diabox-NEU-/200946784367?pt=Elektroger%C3%A4te&hash=item2ec95c986f

Danke Klaus

@Pera
Hello Pera thanks. But I can not believe that you can use the original Motor Controller up to 250V is this really possible ?
The intgratet DC-DC (12V) converter would not work anymore ?
What modification you have to make to use your setup?

At the moment i tend to 54 160Ah Winston LiPoFe4 cells. Which would give a top loading voltage of 189V with 3.5V each cell.
Greetings to Finland

@Denis

@Pera
This is very very intresting Pera. Do you modify only the amount of Batteries or do you have to change the SAGEM box too?
Do you use the original integrated charger setup?
Is there a way to reduce the current to 1..5A at the end of charge to balance my cells? Do you know how to modify the charge current?
I have seen a post where some guys modify the charge current with some optocoupler. But too less information to understand how.
At the moment I setup my BMS for overcharging and undervolt protection. I work with a Arduino MEGA with a little graphic LCD as Master and AVR48 at each cell.
I have a 11 kWh LiPoFe4 with a Studer XTM3500 setup in the house. The BMS is almost ready, but for a car it needs some modications.

Hi Pera,
we had snow 0.3 mm or somesthing like that in November, thats it, up to now. We had the a real warm December I even could paint a garage door in December.
I was in Sundsvall on new year 30 years ago we had -40°C in the night and we had a lot of fun.

So you know what you are doing and you have fun with it. I also like to keep the things simple.
Nearby Munich a company offers brand new berlingo with Zebra Batterie for 16.900 EUR. But I do not understand the batterie technologie. It is high tempertur NaCl batteries.

My car has no batteries can you send a photo of the connector where the batterie voltage is measured? Hopefully I will find it in my car.
At the moment Iask for batterie prices at different companies.
160Ah => 200US $ x 54 puuuuh.

Thanks a lot for your comments
By the way a I also hate the winter

Hellp Pera,

about the Zebra I agree. Same thoughts I can not service anything by my self because I do not have the skills or training or knowledge about it. About the connector I thougt this is a temperature sensor for the battery?
At the moment I think I will try with 60 Winston 160Ah but I have no idea if they fit in the car. I hve no batterie box so I have to make them in the right size for the cells.
60 pieces by 3.4V gives 204V by 200A gives a peak power of 40.8 kW
The Energy 204V by 160Ah is 32.64 kWh should by enough for me.
The max loading Voltage 216V (3.6V / cell) should work
My balancer is tested for 2A Batterie balancing curren.
You wrote phase II loading current 6..7A with integrated berlingo loader. Is this a AC-line current or a Batterie load current?

regards
Kalus
